Will Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent Rain Proof

VP-543SP is this vent rain proof when open? Especially while driving. Is going on work van and needs to be open almost 24/7. If not your thoughts and recommendations. Van has gas motorized equipment in back. Needs lots of ventilation. Thanks

The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent with 12V Fan # VP-543SP is not going to be completely rain proof (no roof top vent will be), because they need to be open somewhat, as you can see in the accompanying photo a customer sent in of this vent installed. Though I do recommend closing this vent in the rain, you can add ventilation by installing a vent on the sides of your van.

The 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent for 3" Diameter Hole # HMAV2-AVT2 (Black) or # WHMAV2-WAVT2 (White) will give you constant ventilation and has drain holes at the corners of the vent for any water. You can install multiple vents as well in order to maximize your airflow. To install these vents, as well as the Ventline, you will need the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW.

I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
