Question:

I received a flat filter housing with my compressor kit #2158 and two replacement filters how do you replace the filter the housing doesn't seem to come apart please help

In order to replace the air filter on the Firestone Air Command I Compressor System part # F2158 you will first want to un-thread the filter housing from the compressor. Once the filter housing is removed you can then pry the two sides open with a flat-head screwdriver or pick tool. Once the two sides of the filter housing are separated you can simply remove the old and then replace it with a new filter. The filter housing will snap back together and you can thread it back on the compressor.

What does housing look like of Firestone 9284 air compressor? Never serviced it.
