Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. Now this ball mount is going to be a great choice for you if you're looking for a highly durable premium, easy to use hitch. This does feature a built-in scale that's going to let you easily measure your tongue weight, making sure that you have better towing safety and performance. This will slide into your 2 1/2 inch receiver and it's going to give you two stainless steel balls. You're gonna get a two inch ball and a 2 5/16 inch ball so you can tow different types of trailers.

And this is also going to give you a maximum drop, when you have the shank in this orientation, of eight inches. When you flip it over, you'll get a maximum rise of nine inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is going to be great for various towing setups, giving you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now when you are towing with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's gonna be 10,000 pounds and this has a maximum tongue weight of 2200 pounds.

Now this does feature a tongue weight scale as you can see right here, and that scale is built into the ball mount platform that's gonna help you balance your trailer for safer towing. This scale is going to let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. It's gonna be a very simple operation. This will automatically give you a measurement every time you couple your trailer. So this is going to be very efficient for you, hassle-free, it's gonna eliminate the need for you to break out your bathroom scale or take this to commercial scales.

This also features a dual-pin slider lock that's gonna make adjusting the height very simple. Let me give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is going to be to adjust. So I'm going to insert one of the keys here into the lock here and give it a turn just like that. That's going to allow me to remove this. I wanna point out that this dual-pin slider lock is very durable.

You've got two aluminum pins, aluminum housing, and a plated steel lock. So this is going to do a great job of securing the ball mount platform to the shank. It is going to be corrosion resistant, so it's gonna hold up very well against the elements that it's gonna be constantly exposed to, but look at just how easily this ball platform is gonna slide up and down the shank. So it's gonna be very easy to adjust. Something else I wanted to show you is this is stowable, so if you're not going to be towing for a while and you want to get that ball platform out of your way, all you have to do is position the ball platform just like this. So when you are going around the back of your truck, you're not gonna have to worry about running your shins up against the ball mount platform. So obviously you'll just replace the dual-pin slider lock and lock it into this position. So it's a great feature that's included. While I have my ball platform disconnected from the shank, I wanted to show you how easy this is going to be to swap out the balls. So you see my retaining pin there. Typically you should just be able to tip this over like that. That pin should just slide out. But if it gets pretty tight in there, you can just use this ring and that'll be able to pull that pin out. But I'm gonna go ahead and take out my two inch ball and replace it with my 2 5/16th inch ball. You do wanna make sure that the holes line up there, (platform clanks) just like that. And then I'm gonna go ahead and replace the pin and it slides in just like that. That ring is gonna sit in that cavity there so it's not in the way. And then I'm just going to replace that platform on my shank. So I hope you get a feel for just how easy this is going to be to adjust the height, change out the ball size, and even operate the dual-pin slider lock. Everything's gonna be very smooth and the cap is included here to protect that keyway. So you are going to get four keys. Everything is keyed alike. One key is going to operate not only our dual-pin slider lock, but this other great addition, this hitch pin lock. And this hitch pin lock obviously is going to secure everything to your trailer hitch receiver. So one key will operate both of these locks, you'll basically have three backups. And with this dual-pin slider lock and this hitch pin lock, this has built in theft deterrent for this investment that you're making. So it has everything that you need to make sure that your investment in this premium shank is protected with the built-in safety, built-in theft deterrent features. So this hitch is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum. It's gonna give you superior strength and durability. This premium black Cerakote finish is a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So lemme give you some measurements here. Measuring from the center of our tow ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, 8 1/2 inches, moving over to the center of the second hitch pin hole, 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of our second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So this is going to be great if you demand reliability, safety, and durability from your towing equipment, whether you're a seasoned RV owner or someone who tows frequently.
