I recommend the Curt Class I hitch part # C98BR which will fit the 2020 Mazda 3 without drilling and will give you a 1-1/4" receiver opening for a cargo carrier or other accessories like a bike rack. The hitch is rated for 200 lbs of tongue weight in the cargo carrier so you do not want to exceed the tongue weight of the hitch.
For a cargo carrier I recommend Reese Cargo Carrier part # 63155 which will provide you with 47" long x 20" wide of usable space in the carrier.
You will also need the required stabilizer strap like # 18050 when using the hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier.
