Flat Tow Wiring For 2017 GMC Terrain

We have ready brake system and it works the brake lights. What do you recommend for turn signal and driving lights on the 2017 terrian?

I recommend Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles part # HM56108 which will plug into your vehicle's existing wiring behind the tail lights to activate the Terrains signaling functions with the motor homes. It does not require splicing like the other tow bar wiring options for your vehicle, I have attached an installation video for your reference.

When you flat tow the GMC Terrain you will need to pull the ABS (fuse 16) if you have a 4 cylinder mode. you will need part # RM-76517 to pull the ABS fuse which is a higher amp fuse. If you have the V6, you can use Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Mini-fuse part # RM76511. A Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25 is required to prevent the battery from draining.

Other parts needed to flat tow are a base plate, tow bar, safety cables and a possibly a high low adapter to flat tow level. I have attached a helpful article on high low adapters. Please let me know if you need anymore parts for flat towing and I can assist you further.
