Question:
Extremely loud wind noise on bars I purchased the euro bars for my jeep Cherokee. I was expecting more aerodynamic bars but instead got the more square shaped bars and they are extremely loud at high-speed’s on the freeway ,not a whistling noise but a very loud wind noise that I can hear with my windows up .what can I do to make this sound not so loud ?is it the bars or the shape of the bars? I installed all the accessories that came with it? Please help

Expert Reply:
The Rhino Rack Euro Bars setup for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee naked roof is a square bar system that is now obsolete. Since square bars are not aerodynamic, they can create a lot of wind noise. To reduce the wind noise on this style of bars, a lot of our customers use a wind fairing to allow the wind to bounce off of the bar instead of whistling through it. For that I recommend Rhino-Rack Fairing for Roof Racks part # RRRF2 which will help the wind noise.
The best option is to switch out the bars for Aerodynamic cross bars part # RRVA137S-2 which will deflect the wind because of their shape. You will not need the fairing or your existing square bar adapters if you switch out the bars. You can use the same fit kit you already have part # DK398.
