Troubleshooting Wind Noise Created by Sportrack Roof Rack on 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question:
Roof # 1, no existing rails or crossbars. I installed the sr1002 rack on my 2002 grand prix. It fits fine, but when I drive there seems to be an excessive amount of wind noise speeds above 60mph. Is there anything I can do to quiet it down?

Wind noise is pretty normal with the installation of a roof rack, but what you can do is install a fairing like part # RRRF2 and the wind noise will be greatly reduced.
Fairings are designed to direct the air over the rack to prevent the noise.
