Will Install of Inno Gear Case 720 Rooftop Cargo Box # IN94YV Create Wind Noise

Re. Inno Gear Case 720, I am putting on a rack similar to the slimline. Looking at the example in the video, I am concerned about wind and sound. In the configuration on the slimline, wont the wind from slimline go into the front lip of the 720 causing wind friction and noise? A 2 x crossbar system seems to be much more aerodynamic and prone to less noise. Thoughts? It fits nicely, but question is, is it worth it given possible noise and fuel efficiency reasons? as compared to a 2 x crossbar install.

Hey Rrr, in reality you can't really get away from wind noise with roof cargo box. If you install the Inno Gear Case 720 Rooftop Cargo Box # IN94YV it's going to create noise whether it's on a Slimline style rack or a 2 bar roof rack.

Yes, it will make wind noise on top of the slimline. But concern is that it appears that when the car goes fast, the wind will be forced under the lip of the front of the Inno 720. This seems like it would cause an extraordinary problem as far as drag and noise that would not be as present if cross bars were used. Instead of wind being forced under the front lip of the Inno 720, it would flow underneath if cross bars were used. The Inno 720 looks good on the slimline, but has anyone tried it out to see how well it functions at highway speeds?

@Rrr As far as we know it hasn't been tested. Sometimes you can alleviate some of the noise by moving parts of the roof rack/box forward and back to find the "sweet spot" where it's not as noisy.
