Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Step with Anti-Skid Surface, # C31001, is 6-3/8 inches front to back and 10-3/4 inches wide. I added dimensions to a picture showing these measurements for you.
You may also want to consider the our Hitch Lock, # e98882, to secure the step in your hitch.
If you wanted a larger step, check out the PortablePET Twistep Hitch Mounted Step, # HE3052, that is 22 inches wide x 19 inches deep. To secure this step in your 2 inch hitch you can use the Threaded Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # HE6033.
