Replacement Steps For 2003 Dutchmen Classic Travel Trailer With 29-1/4 Door Width

Question:

All the steps that I am seeing on the site have a mounting bolt distance of 27.5 and on my trailer the distance is 29.25. Can you help?

When trying to replace steps you want to measure the width of the cut out where the steps store. If you measured that width and got 29.25" then that is much wider than normal.

I recommend the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 26" to 29-7/8" RV Door Frames part # LC791572 which fits door widths 26" - 29-7/8" and entry heights of 27" - 36". If you measure from the bottom of the doorway to the ground it needs to be between 27" - 36" for these steps to work. These steps will not attach the cut out but the doorway itself. A lot of our customers like the SolidStep because it is designed to fold up into the camper's doorway instead of staying closed underneath the camper where the steps are exposed to the elements. This is the only option we have for a doorway over 29" wide.
