Question:
Gooseneck hitch makes clanking sound when taking off and stopping.

It seems like this could be more of an issue with your coupler than your B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1111 itself, since that's what grabs the ball. Check the coupler to make sure it's operating correctly. You should also inspect the ball to make sure that it's not damaged. If it is, you can replace it with the B&W Replacement Hitch Ball for Turnoverball Hitches # BWGNXA2000 .
If the coupler is damaged, you may be able to replace just the inner tube, but it could also require a full replacement depending on where it is damaged. If you can send me a picture or the type of coupler that you've got I can help you find a replacement.
