Recommended Heavy Duty Rubber Wheel Chock for 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:
I need tire chocks that stay in place better than 10”Lx8 1/2”Wx51/5”H yellow plastic chocks. The two MaxxTow options I am considering are not similar to each other, MT70072 and MT70073. I will use 1 chock per tire 4. I prefer the tapered leading edge of the 72 and its contour to the arc of the tire. I do not like it’s narrow width of 4” and would prefer a longer length than 6 3/4”. I like the heft of the 73 but concerned about the minimal tire contact of the more vertical face and no tapered edge to seat the chock edge at the tire. My tires are Goodyear G614 RIB tread so there is no aggressive tread to ‘bite’ into the 73 chock ridges. I do like the 73’s 8# weight vs the 4# of the 72. I would appreciate your comments and advise. I frequently utilize campsite pads which are not level, ie state and national park sites as opposed to in-town RV parks. Wheel chock performance and reliability is critical. Photo of my current chocks is attached. I like the current chock attributes except plastic.

It is best to use a set of wheel chocks either between the inside tires or in front and behind of the outside tires but I would definitely use more than one per side. That said, I recommend the Buyers Products Heavy Duty Wheel Chock part # 337WC0888 because it is heavier (10 lbs) therefore less likely to slide and it has more contact with the tire both width wise and height wise.
