Question:
Conner, thanks for answering all of my questions I’ve learned a lot! I’m 90% sure my pin box is an 1116 after the measurements from Lippert. My concern is with my current set up and my new long bed F350 is my tailgate will barely open/close because of clearance now. Should I get the 1716 trailair because it’s longer?

Expert Reply:
The longer (Lippert 1716 part # LC1324791) pin box will give you more clearance to open your tailgate than the shorter (Lippert 1116 part # LC1270271) pin box so if more room is what you are looking for then the Lippert 1116 Pin Box part # LC1324791 fits the bill.
