Recommended Maximum Speed Using Konig XG-12 Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains
Published 08/24/2019 >
Question:
I am looking at buying Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro - Size 225. Is there a maximum mph with these chains? I do almost all highway driving at 70mph of course less in snow and ice but still highways and mountain passes. Thanks.

Konig makes an excellent product that's both durable and easy to use.
Konig states in the owner's manual that driving above 50kph (about 31 mph) isn't recommended. This is typical for tire chains. It's also not recommended that tire chains be used on clear pavement. Doing so wold rapidly accelerate the wear and tear on the chains and would have a dangerous effect on your ability to control the vehicle in turns and during braking.
I've linked you to an article with more information about tire chains.
