Fit of Draw-Tite 36114 Class II Receiver Hitch on 2019 Acura RDX

Question:

I need help- are there 3 weld nuts on each side of the frame?I have the draw-tite trailer hitch PART NUMBER 36114 installed and it sticks out about 5 inch beyond the tailgate. Is that right? Are there 2 weld options for attaching the hitch?

The Draw-Tite Class II trailer hitch part # 36114 attaches to the RDX frame member using two weld nuts on each side. I've linked the installation instructions for you as a reference. As you can see in the provided photo, the receiver tube does extend out quite a bit, this is caused by the vehicle's spare tire being in such close proximity to the rear bumper. If the spare was tucked back in a bit more toward the front of the vehicle, the receiver tube wouldn't stick out so far. Welding the hitch in place isn't recommended, and because of the spare tire, there really isn't any other place for it to go.
