How Does Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack Fit to 2017 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

Cannot find where to attach the hooks on the bottom of the trunk door on the vehicle. There is no overhang, the bottom of the latch is about two inches thick. Not likes typical car trunk where you attach the hook and pull up and tighten. It is the yakama trunk bike rack for two bikes. The top and side hooks are fine.

We had the chance to install the Yakima HangOut 2 bike rack part # Y02637 on a similar 2016 Jeep Cherokee and made an install video out of the process which I have attached to this page.

I also attached a picture that shows the rack installed where you can see where the lower straps attach as well as where the lower arm of the rack rests.
