Hey William,

What is the year of your Ford E-350? There might be a naked roof fit kit that can fit. If not you would need to go with the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks - 55" Long # RTC14 and rivet it to the roof. If needed you can cut the length down from the side without the opening in the channel for accessories to better fit your roof. From there you can then install the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs # RRRLT600 and some spacers blocks # RRQMHD05 to connect the platform directly to the tracks.

You refer to the spendy pieces of metal with big round holes the length of I see in pictures that appear to be pressure held in the recessed gutter like runs found commonly in roofs of SUVs trucks and I suppose all autos these days.. My Ford is a 2002 E 350superduty But that probably isn't relevant as it has had its life removed and replaced with a big aftermarket fiberglass roof raised dome. That is not flat for easy mounting of anything solid or continuous. Had hoped there might be just some permanent mount short legs I could set but or covered rivet seal down, then slot fit or even drill and bolt to rack.. Just hated to buy a multi use engineered system then have to go and fabricate and modify to mount to my rig... But I knew it might be a possibility from beginning...

@William There unfortunately isn't a foot option for fiberglass without the tracks to distribute the weight out. You technically still could go without the tracks and just use longer bolts with the # RRRLT600 to go through the roof and secure it from the inside with a washer and nut or use rivets. There just hasn't been testing to confirm that mounting like this would be strong enough to hold and not damage the roof.

@Kevinthere is steel inside frame work my intention was to use this and run bolt through dome just needed to know the foot that would lock into the under carriage cross framework of the pioneer system and provide sealable surface to bare fiberglass

@WilliamM When you're doing custom work like this there really isn't a guaranteed fit with any type of foot, but the # RRRLT600 at least has a flat base since it was designed to sit on top of a flat track.
