Thanks for the information. Now wondering about the Trailer Coupler Lock - Gorilla Guard For 2-5/16 Couplers. Is the Diversi-Tech still superior?

Any type of lock you put on your trailer will be a theft deterrent. I recommend using the Fastway Universal Coupler Lock, part # FA86-0015-316, because it can mount on 1-7/8, 2 and 2-5/16 inch couplers and it fits on a wide variety of coupler types. The Diversi-Tech lock will be harder and noisier to break off than the Master Lock coupler lock which is a better deterrent for thieves.

Wheel locks are also a secure option, but can be tedious to apply and still gives thieves a chance to hook on to your trailer.

The Gorilla Guard Coupler Lock, part # 63227, is a strong and durable lock like the Diversi-Tech. The comparison I would make between the Diversi-Tech and Gorilla Gaurd coupler locks are the Gorilla Guard is an excellent option if you have a 2-5/16 inch coupler and a coupler with a flange where the coupler lock can grip. If you plan on using a Gorilla Guard coupler lock on a coupler that is 2 inches, you will need the Gorilla Guard Coupler Lock, part # 63228.
