Which RoadActive Suspension Kit Fits 2018 F-150 XLT 4X4 Super Crew Cab FX4

Question:

Jameson C. I just purchased the RAS3611-Y from etrailer.? Is there a guideline on selecting which spacer to use in setting the spring tension? Is there a chart of coil to coil spacing to correct sag? Thanks for your continued support.

For your 2018 Ford F-150 4x4 the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-Y that you referenced is a confirmed fit and the correct part number.

Jameson C Thanks for your previous response. Are the jack stands under the axle or @ the jack points/tire changing locations on the F-150? Are the truck leaf springs under normal load when installing the RAS? Can one side be jacked up at a time to do the installation. Thanks for your continued support.

I checked with RoadActive Suspension and when you install the # RAS3611-Y the suspension needs to be totally unweighted so that it installs and functions properly. I attached a picture that I took from the instructions that shows the recommended way to accomplish this.

The spacers included with the RAS are used to help you determine whether you are within range of the unit and what is the lowest setting and what is the highest. As you turn the spring (adding more tension), use one of the 2 included spacers as a gauge to measure the widening gaps between the coils. In order for the RAS units to work as intended, you must tension the coils to a minimum of 25 percent with the 1mm white spacer and no more than 40 percent with the 2mm spacer. I would start with the lowest setting and see how you like the support and then go from there. The lowest setting that gives you the amount of support you need will give you best overall ride quality as well.
