Dimensions for the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers

Question:

I have a 2019 Grand Design Solitude 310GK fifth wheel and have been reading about the Comfort ride slip springs and shock system. It sounds very good. I however have a height limitation in the location where I store the RV. I only have 1 inch clearance from the RV roof to the building rafters. If I install the Comfort ride system will it raise the trailer higher off the ground so I loose that 1 inch clearance or can I be assured the height will not change?

I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster and he said that your 2019 Grand Design Solitude 310GK should keep the same relative ride height with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers # RM-2460-2570 installed. He did say that for some applications it will change the ride height but for the vast majority the ride height will remain the same.

Since you have such a small margin though I went ahead and took some measurements for you to compare with your current suspension so you can determine this on your end. From where the slipper spring box butts up against your frame to the middle of the bolt that holds the slipper spring measures 4-1/8". I also took a measurement of the height of the slipper spring from where the bolts will sit to the bottom of the leaf spring stack and that was 4-1/4". You should be able to compare this with what you have to see if anything will change.
