Converting Boat Trailer with Disc Brakes to Electric Over Hydraulic

Question:

Jameson, That kit looks nice. Can you tell me if this will work with the factory brake controller on my 2019 Ram (Dodge) 1500? The website only lists 2010-2015. Also, how does this compare to the Dexter DX series? Is there a complete kit for that one as well?

Can you feel the brakes dragging when you are towing? It's very common for disc brakes to get hot to the touch from regular use. They create quite a bit of friction which then creates heat.

That said you can pretty easily convert the system to an electric over hydraulic setup with the # HS381-9067 which comes with everything you'd need from the actuator to all of the wiring and components. This comes with the best actuator available because it is the fastest reacting and the most reliable.

Yes, your integrated Ram controller in your Ram 1500 would work well with this kit. This is a much better kit overall than the Dexter system you referenced. It will be far more reliable and quicker reacting so you'd be much happier with this.
