Question:
We have a 2018 Forest River Rockwood 1905G dry weight about 3500 lbs and want to replace the Castle Rock 225R75 / 15 D tires on it. We’ve had no problems with them but everything we read and hear says replace them ASAP. Their maximum inflation is 65 psi. I’ve been told by Forest River that the rims won’t handle 80 psi tires. We were thinking of Goodyear Endurance tires but they aren’t available in Load Range D. Their E tire has a max inflation of 80 psi - too high for our rims. Any suggestions for a good quality tire that will meet our needs? Thanks

I think what Forest River meant to say is that the valve stems you have cannot handle more than 65 psi as the wheel itself really has nothing to do with the psi rating. Therefore, you can absolutely use the Load range E, Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10303 on your 2018 Forest River Rockwood 1905G but you will also need to replace the valve stem as well. I recommend the Americana Metal Bolt-In Valve Stem part # AM20906 which is rated for up to 200 psi.
