Question:
So I am looking at building a trailer, and am considering putting putting this disk brake kit on it. What I am concerned about is that I would like to use one of the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - DisK for providing the hydraulic pressure, but none of them tell what PSI they provide the brakes seem to need 1500 PSI. Will any of the Demco Actuators provide the much pressure?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R35DKG that you referenced does indeed require a psi rating of at least 1,500 for proper operation but this is standard for disc brakes. Any brake actuator that is designed for disc brake assemblies, such as the Demco # DM62VR, will absolutely provide the needed pressure. They don't typically have a specific psi rating but they will typically put out around 1,500 to 1,600 psi, varying a bit depending on the weight of your trailer, stopping force, etc.
I have attached a short video review on this brake kit along with a link that will take you to our available selection of Demco disc brake actuators that you can look through.
