Expert Reply:
The Electric Trailer Brake with Dust Shield - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-8R have an 8,000 lb capacity and measure 12-1/4 inches in diameter and 3-3/8 inches wide so that is the dimension your drum would need to be. These fit a 4-bolt mounting flange such as # 4-50 and would require Mounting Hardware # BRKH122508.
If you have 12 inch drums there are options for that, the Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-7L-SA (Left) and # AKEBRK-7R-SA (Right) which are 12 inches in diameter and 2 inches wide and have a capacity of up to 7,000 lbs. These fit a 5-bolt mounting flange such as # 4-44-1 and would require Mounting Hardware # BRKH12S.
The correct electric brake assembly is going to depend on your drum size and axle capacity. If you have 12 inch drums, the larger 12-1/4 inch brakes will not be able to fit. I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
