How long should it take a RV service department to install the SMI Model#SM99251 on a 2010 Ford Edge.

It would really depend on the mechanical experience of the installer that is installing the Stay-IN-Play Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251. It usually takes our experienced installers 8 hours to install so it is recommended to take it to a mechanic or someone with experience with motor homes. I have attached a video of the installation on a 2010 Ford Edge for your reference.

However, once you have it installed it is much more convenient then having the bulky removable box in your floorboard and taking it out each time you want to drive the towed vehicle.
