Can Fulton Economy Spare Tire Carrier Be Used with 6-Bolt Wheel

Question:

will this fit a 6 on 5.5 if I just dont use opposing holes? Application would be on a boat trailer tongue laying flat on the V portion of the trailer.

The Fulton Economy Spare Tire Carrier # FETCSTL0701 that you referenced will only work with 4 or 5 bolt wheels. It's not quite large enough to go through holes directly across from each other on a 6-bolt wheel and won't provide a secure enough attachment if using a different hole.

We do not have any U-bolt style carriers that are compatible with 6-bolt wheels.

I instead recommend the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier # FHDSTC0101. This will work with 6-bolt wheels up to 16-1/2 inches in diameter and will fit trailer tongues up to 3 inches wide and 5 inches high. It features a nice zinc plating that will resist corrosion and a clamp-on, no-drill installation.
