Where To Reinstall the Keyless Entry Sensor On A 2016 Toyota RAV4 After Curt Hitch Install

Question:

Ive been thinking about getting this hitch for my 2016 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, but am also wondering about the advice that I would need to move the SmartKey antenna. Where exactly is it located now, and where would I need to move it to?

The keyless entry sensor on your 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is located under the rear bumper on the passenger side of the vehicle. The installation instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13406 state to move this under the cross tube of the hitch in same basic area it was removed from with cable ties.

I have attached a photo for you that shows how one of our customers relocated the sensor.
