Question:
Hello, We just purchased the trailer valet XL? We are trying to decide if we should pull or push the trailer on an incline. Is it better to hitch the trailer on a level spot or could we hitch it on the incline and then pull it with the van? Can we hitch the trailer on an incline after using the trailer valet XL? Thank you.

Hitching or unhitching a trailer is always safest when both the vehicle and trailer are on level ground. This reduces the chance for the trailer to roll. Yes, you could use 4 wheel chocks like # MT70073 to prevent a single axle trailer from rolling while you hitch it to or unhitch it from your vehicle but naturally it is always best to avoid even potential safety risks when you're enjoying your RV.
The Trailer Valet XL # TVXL25 does have an automatic brake to prevent the trailer from rolling and it also includes a power drill attachment to take the work out of cranking the manual 2-speed handle; these features enhance safety and ease of use. The answer to your question is that it really comes down to the actual weight of your trailer and how comfortable you are with handling the hitching process on an incline.
DO NOT use the Trailer Valet on slopes and inclines exceeding a strict maximum of 10 degrees on a firm paved or concrete surface.
