Correct Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit For Tandem Axle Trailer with AL-KO 4,400 Lb Axles

Question:

Hello, Im trying to determine what E-Z Flex kit I need. My equalizer is 8inch center to center so I think I need the k71-653-00 kit. BUT my center to center on the shackles is 2.5inch not 2.25. Will it be okay to use these or do I need to find the 2.5inch shackles separately? The trailer has tandem, AL-KO 4400LB axles with a wheel center to center of about 35.5. Thanks

Correct, the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit part # K71-653-00 is what you would want to use to upgrade the equalizers on your trailer. The total difference in length will only be around 1/2" between the equalizers and shackle straps but since the equalizers can flex this will not be an issue at all for your trailer. The E-Z Flex Shackle Straps are not offered in a 2-1/2" length but this will not be needed. The equalizers will adjust to account for the length difference.
