Question:

You state that you have a replacement winch for the Shelby 5352. Can you tell me if the threads on the handle shaft are the same? I will not be using the handle but rather an existing wheel that will spin onto the shaft and is part of a boat lift. i want to make sure the thread pattern is compatible before ordering

The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL15721 that you referenced is a good replacement option for the Shelby 5352 in terms of size, capacity, and function but it's not an direct/exact replacement. Because Shelby winches are no longer in production I'm not able to compare the handle thread to what would be on your model.

With that being said this particular winch is not compatible with a wheel like what you are currently using. For this type of application a much better option is the Dutton-Lainson # DL14927. This 1,500 pound brake winch is specifically designed for use with boat lifts and the included handle can be replaced by a big wheel. This will work great to replace your existing Shelby unit.

Hi Chris I have the same old Shelby winch on our jet ski lift that needs to be replaced (model #5352) I am ordering the DL14927. Do I need any additional parts to put the original wheel back on this new winch? Thanks for your help Andy
