Will stabilizing straps be required for this hitch when in use with bike racks in order to stop from voiding warranty?

Curt just recently decided to stop requiring the stabilizer strap with their hitches like the part # CU64FR that you referenced when carrying non-supported loads like bike racks. Also, this hitch didn't ever have that requirement since it can be used with weight distribution systems and that's where they drew that line.

The Curt hitch part #CU64FR that you referenced does require rear fascia trimming to install. I attached a picture that shows where the fascia and heat shield trimming will need to take place.

That's a really good question, Andrew! Thule wanted to make things easier for people so decided redesign the lid lifter so it can be used for both the front and the back. So all you would need is one or two of part #TH93VA!
