Question:
I’d like to find out out what’s the best and affordable brake controller setup for my new truck. Planning on buying a new travel trailer and would like to get this setup installed myself kind of a plug and play. Can u please point me in the right direction

For a trailer brake controller that combines excellent performance with an affordable price I highly recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160. This is a proportional controller which means it will automatically send back power to the trailer brakes in correspondence to the force you apply to the brakes in your Silverado. It features an easy-to-read LED display with continuous diagnostics to alert you of any potential issues and 3 boost levels that let you fine tune your braking aggressiveness.
If you have the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 then you can use the Plug-In Harness # 3064-P to allow for a completely plug-and-play install. If you have the 2500 or 3500 model you will use # 3016 instead. One end of the harness plugs into the brake controller itself while the other end plugs into the factory port behind the dash.
I have attached a couple video demonstrations that you can check out as well.
