Yes, you can use a longer ball mount on your 2011 GMC Acadia Class III hitch to add the mudflaps.

The standard ball mount that we show that is recommended for your Acadia is the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 2923. This ball mount has a 3/4 inch rise or a 2 inch drop. It measures 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. It has a 6,000-lb gross towing weight capacity and a 600-lb tongue weight capacity.

A longer ball mount with the same 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop is the Curt Ball Mount, part # D-4. It has a 7,500-lb gross towing weight capacity and a 750-lb tongue weight capacity. It measures 10-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.

I also have the Brophy Ball Mount, part # BM20, which is an extra long ball mount with the same 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop. It measures 13-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. It also has a 7,500-lb gross towing weight capacity and a 750-lb tongue weight capacity.

I am including a link to a FAQ page on choosing the correct ball mount. Also, I am including a link to a product page that will list the mud flaps that we carry that will slide onto a ball mount.
