For your 2018 Ford F-150 Short bed, the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Rack w/ 68" HD Crossbars - Aluminum - 500 lbs # Y01151-58 is the correct fit. These Yakima HD bars are 3 inches by 1-1/2 inches and will work perfectly with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs - Side Loading # TH898.
If you desire longer bars for more clearance when using the Hullavator, then you will use the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack Uprights - Aluminum - 500 lbs # Y01151 and then the 78 inch # Y01159 which can be cut to your desired length. You will just need to make sure they don't extend past your side view mirrors for safety regulations.
