Question:
How far does this extend, say, from the hitch pin hole to the back edge of the step when fully extended? I own a 2018 Dodge 3500 dually and need to know if the step will be usable when the tailgate is down. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
From the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest edge of the HitchMate TruckStep # HE4045 is about 20-1/2". If you need more room than that we have the XL version as part # HE4037 which measures 29-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole.
