Question:
I want to trade in my F150 for an F250, connect bumper pull or gooseneck, and pull freight, cars, etc.... With an F250, how much trailer can I hook-up, and stay below the CDL limit of 26000 lbs? I want to be able to pull as much weight as possible and be legal.

For the strongest pull using a 2019 Ford F-250, the components will help determine capacity. For instance a 2WD pulls more than a 4WD, the cab and bed size do matter, the engine and transmission axle ratio matter too.
For gooseneck towing, you will be able to pull 18,500 lbs if you get the 6.7L V8 Turbo Diesel with Regular Cab, 8 foot bed, 2WD, tow package, and 3.31 axle ratio.
If you get the Super cab with the other features the same, you will be able to tow 16,400 lbs.
If you get the crew cab, you will be limited to 15,800 lbs.
For conventional towing you will be right at 15,000 lbs. I recommend using the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop/Rise - 16K # 325-GH-224 to give you adjustability for different trailer coupler heights for level towing. I recommend the hitch lock # e98882 which can be keyed alike to secure your investment.
If you have a 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver, then I recommend the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2-1/2" Hitch - 6" Drop/Rise - 21K # 325-GH-924 with hitch lock #e98881 for keyed alike option.
