Question:

I have a slide where I want to install a topper. The slide is 140inch includes the flange. My issue is that an awning is installed close about 3 inches away to one side of the slide. I need an awning that has very short mounts on the slide in order to clear the awning. Next issue is the size of the awning. Perhaps I can install off center on the awning side vs the non-awning side? Or a shorter awning in order to have protection but maybe not the recommended addedinch length. Thoughts?

The Solera 12.5 foot Slider part # LCV000177334 works for you as long as the other awning is over 3 inches away. The Solera awning needs 6 inches of clearance around the slider so that is 3 inches on each side of the awning. You also need at least 3 inches from the top of upper edge on the slide-out to the top of the RV.

If the awning is closer than 3 inches I recommend 12 foot slider part # LCV000168328. This awning is 138 inches wide so it does not completely cover the slide out but it does give you the clearance you need. I do not recommend installing the awning off center because the provided hardware may not install properly and personally I think it looks better to go with a smaller awning that's centered.
