Question:
I just purchased a 2017 Honda CRV-EXL that does not have a roof rack. I would like to be able to carry 2 kayaks. Can you tell me the best way to accomplish this with a after factory installed roof rack and how and what to have installed? Thanks!!

Since you are purchasing both a roof rack and kayak carrier at the same time for your 2017 Honda CR-V and 2 kayaks I recommend getting everything with the same brand because you know that the products were made for each other and that you can add locks to everything so that you use the same key for your entire roof rack setup. For your application I recommend going with a Thule setup.
If you have a naked roof (with no rails or crossbars) on your CR-V then you will need the 53" WingBar Evo # TH711420 Black or # TH711400 Silver crossbars, the Evo Clamp Feet # TH710501, and the Fit Kit # TH145046.
If you have the flush mount rails then you need the 47" WingBar Evo # TH711220 Black or # TH711200 Silver crossbars, the Podium Foot Pack # TH460R, and Fit Kit # THKIT3166.
Then for a kayak carrier I recommend the Thule Hull-A-Port AeroT # TH849000 which can be used for either 1 or 2 kayaks, has the ability to fold when not in use, and comes with everything needed to transport your kayaks. You may also be interested in the Malone T-Style Hood Loops # MPG308 for easy tie-down points.
The roof rack uses 4 lock cores and the Hull-A-Port XT uses 2 which means for everything to lock with the same key you need the 6 lock core set # TH450600. I have also attached a few videos that you can check out.
