Question:
I have a trailer w/o brakes and I want to covert to electric. It has a 5 on 5 1/2 wheel hole pattern and I am looking at your #84557UC3 brake hub/drum assy. The plate on my axle has a 2 7/8inch square hole pattern. Will this pattern fit this hub assy? I am also assuming the spindle size of the drum bearings are a standard dimension. Should I check my spindle size before ordering? Thanks

The brake mounting flanges, whether they be 4 or 5 bolt, have a standard hole spacing to fit their appropriate brake assembly. No worries about the brake assembly matching with the existing one on your axle. A 3500 lb axle like what you have will use a 4 bolt flange.
You will need to get the numbers that are stamped on your existing bearings, in order to confirm the fit of the # 84557UC3. Your current bearings will need to match the bearings of the replacement hub. The # 84557UC3 uses L68149 Inner and L44649 Outer Bearings, which is pretty common for a 3500 lb axle..
The hub/drum includes bearings, races, grease seal and cap.
You will also need 10 inch brake assemblies, like # 23-26 and 23-27. We also have the nut, # 6-17 and lock washer, # 5-8 needed for attaching the brake assemblies to the mounting flanges. These brake assemblies use the standard 2-7/8 bolt spacing that you mentioned.
We have an install video that will walk you through the process, click the provided link.
