Can Roller Bunks be Used to Make Boat Ramp

Question:

Hi, I have a 24 foot pontoon boat. I live on a lake with a shallow entry about 2 feet I was wondering I could use the bunk rollers to make a ramp so that I can pull the boat out of the water using a winch and store it on the shore for the winter. Please let me know if anyone has done this before. Thanks

Roller bunks like the Dutton-Lainson 5 Foot Long # DL21755 that you're looking at are designed to be installed on a boat trailer but there's no particular reason they couldn't also be used to make a ramp. We have indeed had customers do exactly this and I have attached a few pictures they sent in of the finished products.

These particular roller bunks feature a 3,000 pound boat capacity and are 5 feet in length. I have included a short video demonstration that you can check out as well along with a link that will take you to our available selection of roller bunks.
