Hi there, I was wondering what the dimensions for the brake shoes and can they be ordered separately, and its the electric brake system. dexter 8-389 drum break shoes

I believe you are asking about the correct electric brake size for the Dexter Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-389-81UC3.
This hub and drum assembly is rated for 8,000 lbs and has a drum that measures 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" so the correct electric brake assembly would be the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-532-533-00.
These self-adjusting brakes measure 12" x 3-3/8" to fit securely in the drum, are also rated for 8,000 lb axles and fit a 4-bolt mounting flange. Just the brake shoes for these can also be ordered separately and are Electric Brake Shoe Lining # BP04-240 for the left hand side and # BP04-250 for the right hand side.
