The Yates Bow Roller for Boat Trailers part # YR300BLK is constructed of a black thermal-plasticized rubber which does have the potential to leave marks on the underside of your boat. For an option that will not leave marks on the underside of your boat, I recommend using the Yates Bow Roller for Boat Trailers part # YR300B or part # YR300Y which are made with a blue thermal-plasticized rubber and yellow thermal-plasticized rubber respectively that are non-marking which means they won't leave marks on the underside of your boat.
