Does Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" Wheel Come Balanced

Question:

part # AM32161, wheel and tire combo. Are they shipped pre-balanced or do they need to be balanced locally upon arrival?

The Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" White Wheel # AM32161 is not machine balanced - nor are any trailer tire and wheel combos.

That said, it will be ready to install when you receive it. What happens is the manufacturers line up the light spot on the tire with the heavy spot on the wheel, which is a type of balancing, although it is not the same as what happens with the tire on a passenger car.

While you can have the Karrier # AM32161 professionally balanced if you like, it is not necessary for trailer tires and wheels the way it is for passenger cars because a trailer is following a vehicle in-line.
