Question:
So I have an old snowbear trailer and after trying to find bearings and hubs that fit it seemed easier to just replace the whole axle. I have measurements unfortunately no longer have the original axle so I hope you can help. It was a 2000 lb capacity overall length grease cap to grease cap was 68” out side of springs 53” 5 lug axle under springs. Needless to say Tractor Supply, Runnings, Northern Tool, no help, can you? Thanks

While we do have a potential solution for you, it isn't a traditional axle because we do not carry any with the lengths you offered. It does sound like you were close to the correct measurements you need to find the correct replacement axle (hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center) but the closest we have is 72 inches from hub face to hub face and 58 inches from spring center to spring center such as # 20545I-ST-72-15 and # 20545I-EZ-72-15.
Since these are not the correct measurement for you what you can do is add the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # A20RS545, which will completely replace a standard thru-axle. The Timbren axle-less suspension systems are simply bolted or welded on and offer you an improved ride compared to a traditional through-axle because the Timbrens work independently. What that means is if there is a bump on one side of the road it won't rattle your entire trailer.
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs # A20RS545 is rated at 2,000 lbs and uses idler hubs with L44649 bearings and a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. I have added a link to a video review of this system for you to check out as well.
