Can the Andersen Trailer Hitch and Adjustment Pin Lock Set Be Used on a Weight Distribution System

Question:
Hi...Would this work with the Andersen Weight Distributing Hitch ? Would it cause a lot of play installing it in the lower bolt hole ?....Thanks

According to Andersen, they do not recommend using any pins to attach the ball housing to the weight distribution system's shank which includes the Andersen Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set part # AM3493. They recommend that you use the nuts and bolts included with the kit. You could use the longer pin on the hitch pin hole but not the shorter pin on the adjustment hole.
