Do the fifth wheel hitches for a 2018 ram 2500 with the factory 5th wheel prep package fit no matter what the bed size is? If I wanted to put a fixed hitch in a short bed, could I?

Yes, the fifth wheel hitches that fit your 2018 Ram 2500's factory prep package will fit no matter what bed size you have so you can put a fixed fifth wheel hitch in your '18 Ram.

Generally you are going to want to use a sliding hitch with a short bed so you have the proper turning clearance and don't run into your cab but if you are going to be using a Sidewinder you can install a fixed fifth wheel hitch.
