Troubleshooting Bulging Center Plug of Trailer Hub

Question:

Hi, I have a 2014 dual axle car hauler trailer that is seldom used. I noticed that one of the grease caps has started bulging out at its center . Looks strange. Does this indicate bearing overheated or any other condition of concern? Thanks

Is that a rubber center plug that's popping out? Normally the plugs are black but that looks like the shape of one more or less. I think it's definitely time to remove the cap and hub and inspect everything/repack the bearings etc. What we see in that picure isn't a normal indicator of a problem but it's odd enough to warrant checking everything out. I attached a video on inspecting bearings for you to check out as well.
