Checking to see your recommendation I have a 2-1/2 receiver that measures 24 inch from ground to top of receiver and 16 inch from ground to bottom of trailer coupler. Vehicle is an F250. adjustable ball mount.

Thanks for the measurements of your coupler and trailer hitch! With that info we know that you need an 8 inch drop to tow your trailer level.
The best option for an adjustable ball mount is the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount w/ 2" and 2-5/16" Balls - 20K # C57UR.
This has a max 8 inch drop and will give you a much more comfortable ride than other options due to its shock absorption. To lock the ball mount you will need the Lock Set for Curt Rebellion XD Ball Mount - 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches # C78CR.
