Question:
I have a 2006 Silverado 2500 HD with LT265 75 R/16 tires. My owners manual specifically says not to use chains with those tires. Do I have any options?

When it comes to tire chains for a vehicle you have to stick with what the manufacturer/owners manual states as they are the final authority. We have found that in situations like yours if you contact a Chevy dealer near an area with mountain passes that have chain requirements they will sometimes have a solution or allow a certain type of chain to be installed.
If they'll allow a Class S compatible chain (Class S means requires minimal clearance) then the Titan chains part # TC2326 would be a great option. They are Class S compatible, fit your tire size of 265/75-16, install pretty easily, and will give you great traction.
