Will Pilot Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120 Have Connection if Lights Are Mounted in Vehicle Interior

Will the pilot magnetic tow lights work if placed inside the rear hatch of the tow vehicle instead of on top of the car?

You could certainly place these lights inside of the vehicle and run the wire out through a window as long as you could find a way to mount them. They are magnetic.

I am looking to add wireless brake lights to my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, to be towed behind a motorhome.I’ve noticed that you offer the Pilot Magnetic Tow lights. My question is have your customers experienced the tow lights falling off the vehicle as the magnets give way?And further, how long do the batteries last?Thank you

We've had some customers in the past state that the magnetic bases came off the vehicle. You can look through the posted customer reviews on the product page for more details. Based on customer reviews and our own experience, I think the Optronics # TL21RK offer a bit of a stronger magnet. We used it once to hold up a 6 pound ball mount without issue. Also keep in mind that the actual strength will depend on application (thickness of metal roof, paint, etc). Since these plug into the RV's 4-Way for power you wouldn't need to worry about battery life. The batteries for the Pilot assemblies would be good for around 12 hours of continual use.
